Our 13 interactive online speech therapy board games with 150+ card decks built-in are ready to use. The games have over 10,000 real life images. You can target articulation, language, and pragmatics. The games are perfect for teletherapy!
I am very excited to announce that our online speech therapy board games are officially released!
After working on making these online board games for two years, they are finally ready to use and available in our materials library.
13 Online Speech Therapy Board Games
I created 13 beautiful and creative online speech therapy board games with over 150+ therapy targets and 10,000+ real life images!
The online speech therapy board games can be used for all ages, preschool through high school. Our creative designs are fun and engaging for students and easy for the SLP to use to target many goals.
The games have all different themes including, desserts, water park, skiing, vacation, camping, life, winter, and so much more!
When you click into the game, a screen appears where you can select your speech therapy target from 150+ options. The therapy targets include articulation, expressive language, receptive language, and pragmatics.
You can even select more than one target for the game to work on more than one goal within the same game.
How to Use these Online Games with Your Students:
These online speech therapy board games are perfect for teletherapy! You can easily screen share when you have the website open.
I designed the online speech therapy games for teletherapy as I wanted to have games for my students to play that were engaging, yet required minimal prep work. I use these games with my students every day in our teletherapy sessions. Since there is a wide range of themes to use, I can use them with my preschool students and even my high school students. They all love the games and ask to play them every session.
The games were made to be just like in-person board games that are commonly used in speech therapy sessions, except even better because there are 150+ card decks built in. So, that means zero prep for the SLP!
You can play with up to 6 players and even select different targets for each player.
To play one of the speech therapy games, just select your game pieces, select your therapy target (ex. Conversational Turn-Taking), and play! Itβs that simple!
During the game you use the spinner to spin each turn, drag and drop your game pieces, and click on the card deck to pull up a card.
Therapy Targets Built into the Games
There are over 150+ (and counting) card deck therapy targets built into the game.
The options for targets in the game include articulation of every speech sound in every word position, expressive language, receptive language, and pragmatics. Each card in every card deck has an image for visual support.
Examples of expressive and receptive language targets in the game include wh- questions, inferencing, story retell, naming and categorizing, synonyms, antonyms, following directions (1-step, 2-step and conditional), and many more!
Examples of some of the pragmatic targets in the game include interpreting facial expressions and body language, conversational turn-taking, social problem solving, and more.
Click here to get started using the games now!
France Weill says
This idea is so promising!
The picture you posted suggests that you can use this material in the context of tele therapy. Is it the case?
Thank you and good luck!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi France! Thank you. Yes, it is designed for teletherapy. I work in teletherapy and wanted to make online speech therapy games that would be zero prep and fun for students. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I am using Theraplatform with my clients for Teletherapy. I am able to screen share but itβs not allowing my clients to gain access to the mouse/remote control.
[email protected] says
Having same problem
[email protected] says
Will I be able to give my clients access to spin the spinner and move their character when playing the game? I am starting teletherapy by using Google (G-Suite) and would like them to be able to play interactively. If you have any insights on how to make this happen, that would be greatly appreciated! π
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! Yes, you can screen share our games and share keyboard/mouse control. That way your students can interact with the games and activities. Almost all platforms allow you to share keyboard/mouse control. Do you know if G-Suite has an option to share keyboard/mouse control? I haven’t used that platform myself.
[email protected] says
Unfortunately Google meet does not allow remote control a mouse, as far as I know on the zoom does, but my district isnβt allowed to use Zoom because apparently itβs not HIPAA compliant
[email protected] says
Having the same problem here with Blackboard Collaborate.
Kerrie says
Can we interact with students via your site, or do we need to use another platform?
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! We provide all of the games and materials for you to use. You will need to use a platform, like Zoom or GotoMeeting to be able to have video of each other (other platforms work as well, those are just a few). It is best to use a platform that allows you to screen share and share keyboard/mouse control. That way the students will be able to interact with the games and activities.
Hannah Cohen says
Do students need to log into the site or just the SLP?
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Hannah, Typically, just the SLP will log in and screen share our site. So, the student doesn’t need to log in at all.
Hannah says
Thanks!
[email protected] says
Hi,
Can this only be used for teletherapy or can we give students a link to the games through Google Docs?
Thanks in advance!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! Our materials are designed to be used during teletherapy sessions. They are all interactive online games and activities, so they can’t be shared through Google Docs.
[email protected] says
Hi, How do i addshare keyboard/mouse control with students.
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi, you can share keyboard/mouse control with a setting in your videoconferencing platform. It is typically just a simple button to click. What platform are you using?
[email protected] says
Hi! I am using Zoom as my platform, but can’t figure out how to share keyboard/mouse control? Can you help me? Thanks!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! There is a setting in Zoom to select to share keyboard/mouse control. Here is Zoom’s page to show you how to select that setting: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362673-Request-or-Give-Remote-Control
Barbaa says
Hi. Do you know if your games would work easily on Theraplatform? I have a trial subscription now and would love to use your service.
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Barbaa, Yes they do work on Theraplatform. Theraplatform allows you to screen share our site and also share keyboard/mouse control, so you students will be able to interact with the games.
[email protected] says
I am using Theraplatform and clients have been able to control the mouse in screen sharing but nothing happens when they click a selection.
Lori Kleindienst says
They should be able to click when you share remote control.
[email protected] says
Lori–Exactly how do you screen share this site? If I am on a Thinkpad laptop–students will have Chrome Books.. and I am interfacing with them in Google Classroom- do I start in there, and then log into Ultimate SLP? Thanks! Margot
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Margot, most platforms have a simple button to click to share your screen. I haven’t used Google Classroom myself. Is there a button to select to screen share? With the platform I use, I open our site then within the platform, click to screen share.
[email protected] says
Thanks Lori! So I open your site within Classroom, yes? Appreciate the tech support!
Also–I love your artic pizza. Could I annotate labels over the existing words, to make it more interactive? What program would I need to open–like Snip and Sketch?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, you should open the site and screen share. I haven’t used those programs for annotation before, hopefully they will work for you!
Cathy says
Is it possible to link your site to my school website and give kids access without doing teletherapy that is scheduled? Iβm looking for a variety of materials they can use to practice their speech/language goals anytime theyβd like.
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Cathy, our materials are designed to be used during teletherapy sessions. We do not have a way for families to access the materials at this time. It is something we are looking into setting up in the future.
Julie says
I was going to ask the exact same question as Cathy. I would like to assign students practice games and activities through google classroom. This looks like an excellent resource for SLP’s and I was ready to sign up until I read that students can’t access. I think most school based SLP’s are scrambling to make E-Learning/Distance Learning meaningful for our students during this pandemic as they learning from home.
[email protected] says
HI. I love this. Is this compatible with blink?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, you can screen share the materials in their platform. However, their platform does not have the option to share keyboard/mouse control for students. So, you would have to click for your student.
Carolyn Byrd says
Hi there- Does your site work with Microsoft Teams? That s the platform I’m starting to use for teletherapy and I need to be able to screen share to be interactive. Correct?
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Carolyn, I haven’t used Microsoft Teams myself. Do they have an option to screen share and share keyboard/mouse control. Most platforms have those features.
[email protected] says
Can you set up pawns for two players on your gameboard?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes! You can play with up to 6 players.
[email protected] says
Unfortunately, my district is not allowed to do direct teletherapy because we donβt have the appropriate license in my state. We are, however, encourage to share resources and links for home practice as well as suggestions of how to use them. Could these resources be used in such a way at all? Again Iβm not allowed to screen share directly with students. Thank you in advance!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! All of our materials are designed to be used in teletherapy sessions via screen sharing. We do not have a way to share them in a different way at this time.
[email protected] says
Is there a way to use the picture cards without the games for my high school students?
Lori Kleindienst says
We are working on adding all of the picture cards as separate image sliders outside of the games. We hope to have them all up this week.
Divya says
Hi! I have a lot of kids in the EI population in my caseload, around 18-mo of age. Are there games appropriate for this age group (parents are always present so they will manage the mouse control etc)? In terms of turn taking or learning some basic concepts? Thanks!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! Most of our materials are designed for preschool through high school.
Loni Gobel says
I also work with high school students. Are there materials specifically designed for students aged 14-18?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, I use them with my high school students. We have a good amount of material for articulation, language (inferencing, short stories), and pragmatics (conversational turn-taking, problem solving, etc.)
[email protected] says
I was wondering how you use the interactive games with zoom? Do you log onto zoom and then add this site? Not sure how it works so any information would be helpful.
Thank you
Shannon Shain
Lori Kleindienst says
In Zoom you can screen share and share keyboard/mouse control. Just pull up our site and select those two options in Zoom.
[email protected] says
Is there audio with the materials??
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, most of our materials have some sound.
Stefanie Kades says
Can this be used with Google Meets platform?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, it can be used in Google Meets. You can screen share the materials. I’m not sure if Google has the feature of sharing keyboard/mouse control, so you just may need to click in the materials for the student.
Vidya says
Hi Lori, Do you have decks for each of the speech sounds in all positions, phrases, and sentences? can you play go fish? or a memory game? are your pictures of real-life pictures? Any resources with material for pre-literacy language activities and children’s books? Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Vidya, yes we have cards for all speech sounds in all positions for words and most phrases and sentences. We have a fun Go Fish type of game (with card decks for all speech sounds and language/pragmatics). All of our pictures are real life pictures, except for our What’s Wrong images. We have card decks for language skills, but we do not have any children’s books.
Laura says
Can the games be used on an ipad or are they best on a laptop or PC?
Lori Kleindienst says
All of our games will work on an iPad, any tablet, computer, or smart device.
[email protected] says
I love your games and have signed up for a trial membership! I understand that this site was created for teletherapy which traditionally has one student/client working with the SLP, but because of our current situation (Covid19), I have 3-4 students in each of my online therapy groups. Do you have or could you make an articulation game with multiple speech sounds such as a game that targets /r/, /s/, /l/, and “th” which are the most common sounds I treat. I often have groups where each student may be working on a different sound so a game with only one sound wouldn’t work very well.
[email protected] says
After some investigating I answered my own question and see that you can choose multiple sounds and sound positions with one game. I am thrilled!!! This site will save me hours of work and prepping. I will spread the word!!! Thank you so much!!!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! Yes, you can play the games with up to 6 players and choose different targets for each one or as many as you would like π
[email protected] says
After some investigating I answered my own question and see that you can choose multiple sounds and sound positions with one game. I am thrilled!!! This site will save me hours of work and prepping. I will spread the word!!! Thank you so much!!!
Maria says
Hi Lori,
Is the membership on a month to month bases? (Ultimate membership of $12.95/mo)
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Maria, The subscription is month-to-month.
Kristen says
Do you accept purchase orders from school systems?
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Kristen, Yes, we accept purchase orders.
[email protected] says
So how do you share in Google Meet? I get the option to share my entire screen but then I can’t see what the student is seeing because of the limitations of Google Meet. Please help!! I really want to be able to use these resources but am feeling like I’ve wasted money already. π
Lori Kleindienst says
You should be able to screen share the site in Google Meet, so that you are both seeing the same screen. I’m not sure if Google Meet allows you to share keyboard/mouse control as I haven’t used that platform myself.
Sarah Cohen says
Hi! I came across your materials on a shared Facebook post. All the comments raved about your site. Currently, I am doing teletherapy because of the COVID-19 situation, but normally provide services in the home. I was wondering if the on-line materials would work in person, as well (sharing just one computer). By having access to all of these materials would free up so much space in my trunk! I wouldn’t have to lug around so much stuff!!!
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi Sarah, Glad you found our site! You can use them for in-person sessions as well. Our games and activities work on any computer, tablet, phone, or smart device.
[email protected] says
I love all the activities. Such a lifesaver during this time. I was wondering why the share mouse/keyboard only comes up at certain times. I cannot get it to show on the drop down menu consistently for use.
[email protected] says
Same issue for me with Zoom! I can’t get the drop down menu to share mouse/keyboard. Zoom tutorials are not helpful! I am using my laptop and am trying to connect with chrome book users…
Helen Z says
HI Lori This looks great and I am thinking of trying this out as it would be so useful while doing a lot of sessions over Zoom. However, is it easy to stop the subscription if I find I am not really wanting to do much online therapy after all of this is over?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes, our subscription is month-to-month. You can cancel any time by clicking the gear icon on our top right navigation bar.
Pat says
I believe this has been asked already, but these can be done with google meet? This is the only platform I am allowed to use. From what I have seen, we can share our screen but it does not allow us to give our students mouse control. Can the students still participate and is it still relatively interactive/engaging?
Lori Kleindienst says
The students still enjoy the games and activities even if your platform does not allow them to click.
[email protected] says
I was wondering if there is any way to customize cards within the game board games. For example, if I wanted to put in specific speech sound targets (e.g., CV only) or a specific Wh question category (e.g., where only)? This would be an awesome feature to have a way to customize for some of our kids who have very specific targets. Like a “make your own deck” feature.
Lori Kleindienst says
Thank you for letting me know. We will look into setting that up. I added your card deck requests to our to-do list. We will get to them soon π
[email protected] says
Thank you!!
[email protected] says
I love the board games that have sounds when you move the pieces. I saw you added two more this past week. Do you think you can add more?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes! We are working on making and adding more. If you have any requests for certain kinds, let us know and we will make it π
Tracy says
Can the membership be put on hold for July and August and then resume in September if schools are still not back in regular session. Would I have to cancel and then renew?
Lori Kleindienst says
Yes. You can cancel for the months you will not be using it. We also offer an annual subscription with a 10% discount.
[email protected] says
I’m thoroughly enjoying your website and it has really helped tele-therapy go more smoothly. I love the interactive games and my students love the spinners. I would recommend adding in some sounds because the kids love to hear a ding or bell when they get something correct.
Lori Kleindienst says
Glad to hear you like them! Great idea! We have been adding a lot more sounds to all of our most recent games π
Gina Biondi says
My district is not allowing us to use teletherapy at this time. Is there a way for students to complete tasks and send them back via google classroom or google slides?
Lori Kleindienst says
Our materials are designed to be used during teletherapy sessions via screen sharing. We do not currently have a way to send them home to parents to access in a separate way. We are looking into setting that up in the future.
[email protected] says
Is there a way to select target words? For example, I don’t want to use the word ‘span’ with my 4yo student. I’ve also noticed that s-blends come up when I’ve selected /s/ initial. Is there a way to get /s/ initial words that don’t begin with a blend? Is there a way to go in and select the words I want to use from the list?
Also, very picky-but on the race car game, the cars move around the track backward. Any way to get them turned around?
Lori Kleindienst says
We are adding more of the large image card decks for younger students. We should have almost all of them available this coming weekend for every sound in every position. We will get the car to flip at the turns π
[email protected] says
Awesome! Thanks for getting that car to flip!
Would it be possible for therapists to create their own decks from the images you have in the library? I’d love to be able to go in and select the cards I want to use for a session. Thanks!
[email protected] says
I’m enjoying using your site. I’m wondering how I can go about customizing what cards a student sees in a game. For example, if I select Wh questions during a game and want use Wh questions again in another game the next session, how can I skip the cards we’ve already done? It seems like it always shows the same cards first. Thanks
Lori Kleindienst says
Hi! The cards should rotate each time you play, that way you get a new one each time you start the game.
[email protected] says
Thank you for increasing the diversity of the characters within the princess board game, I appreciate it!
[email protected] says
Hi…I love this site….thank you for the 2 weeks it’s great to see how it works and I def want to continue using this. I tried to share my keyboard on zoom and it won’t let my students control the games so I have to click it for them. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but I see the drop down to share keyboard etc. and nothing happens…any suggestions?
Melissa says
Hi and thank you SO MUCH for this amazing website. I use this frequently in tele-therapy sessions. I would love it if there was an option to add our own decks for games. For example, blending and segmenting CVC words, more short stories for retell, academic vocabulary presented in sentences to infer using context clues, etc. I would be more than willing to help in any way I can to help you add more content.
Lori Kleindienst says
Thank you, Melissa! We are looking into setting that up now and will keep you updated π
[email protected] says
I am looking for a how to on particular games– like the Guess Who style game– how is that played since I can see the game piece that the client selected? (but he can’t see mine) I don’t get it…. Am I just supposed to pretend I don’t see it?
Lori Kleindienst says
In the game, it pops up with a message to cover the left side of your board to hide the student’s piece. With the screen sharing format, that was the best solution we could figure out in order to allow the student to be able to see their piece. That way they can look at the one they chose to answer questions.
[email protected] says
These games are awesome! Can you try to add some sports themes? Thanks!!!
Lori Kleindienst says
Glad you like them! I added that to our to-do list π
Gina Biondi says
My district will only allow us to use Google Meet this year. Is your program compatible with Google Meet? If not, what programs is Ultimate SLP compatible with??
